Street Concours Defined At Porsche Parade, cars entered in the Street Division receive the same evaluation as Concours Division entries, except the undercarriage front and undercarriage rear are not judged.

Vintage Porsches were a convergence of engineering and styling sweet spots that resulted in truly exceptional sports cars. I focus on Street Concours (Level 2+) vintage Porsches: 1958-1965 356's and 1969-1975 911's (well, I'm not at all opposed to including 356 Carreras, 550 Spyders and 911 Carrera RS's as well, but I always seem to be a day late and a dollar short). I acquire some cars that are already in 2+ condition, and I acquire others as projects and restore them to that level. History

I got my first 356, a ratty BT6 coupe, back in 1976 -- and I've has been fascinated with vintage Porsches ever since. The ratty BT6 is no longer around, but there are usually a few other vintage Porsches in the garage, most listed here on Home Page of this website.

Levels Defined I like the scale devised by Sports Car Market magazine: SCM 1-6 Scale Condition Rating 1 - National concours standard, perfect 2 - Very good, club concours, some small flaws 3 - Average daily driver in decent conditon 4 - Driver, but with apparent flaws 5 - Runs, but has many problems 6 - Parts car

I'm an active member of the 356 Registry, the largest organization of 356 enthusiasts in the world, and served as Technical Editor of the 356 Registry Website for a number of years. I'm also a member of PCA, the Early 911S Registry, Rennlist and P-DAWGs.

Location

I have the good fortune to be located in Bend, Oregon. Located at an elevation of 4000', on the dry Eastern Slope of the Cascade Mountains, Bend is not only a great climate for early Porsches -- it's also a beautiful outdoor recreational wonderland. And a great place for driving Porsches.
